The "Development of Oxygenated Personal Rescuers" project aims to develop ergonomic, portable and modern personal rescuers to provide sufficient breathing air to the user during emergency escape in cases where there are toxic gases in the ambient air and/or the amount of oxygen is not sufficient.

The basis of this project is to cooperate with the sector leader MFA Maske for the domestic and national production of these products and to close Turkey's need gap in this direction.

Since 2012, TÜBİTAK MAM, which has been working on air freshening and life support systems, has taken it upon itself to carry out the necessary R&D studies for the domestic production of emergency escape masks and oxygen personal rescuers after the Soma disaster in our country.

Initiated with this motivation, R&D studies for the production of oxygen-generating chemicals were successfully concluded. Subsequently, the development of oxygen personal rescuers is being initiated in cooperation with MFA, a pioneer in its sector, which produces completely domestic products.
